AEGIS is tasked with supporting the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology under the VLER CONNECT Support initiative and developed the latest CONNECT Release, version 3.2, which included Multiple Assigning Authority (MAA), fully implemented Deferred Services (including Deferred Patient Discovery, Deferred Query for Documents and Deferred Retrieve Documents), and addresses critical CONNECT Jira issues. In addition, AEGIS supports other ONC projects including implementing the Inter-Operability Test Lab (Test Lab). Other projects currently underway right now include a publically accessible Developers Integration and Inter-Operability Test Lab will be available in the summer of 2011. Currently the ONC Nationwide Health Information Test Lab is used to support the Nationwide Health Information Network Specifications key service sets such as Patient Discovery, Document Query and Document Retrieve and is part of the official On-Boarding and Validation process. Future enhancements for the ONC Test Lab will include various CONNECT Adapters including Dynamic Data Architecture. AEGIS has supported Federal Health IT initiatives for HHS & Veterans Affairs for more than seven years.
